QTag — Focus areas
The QTag ecosystem — three complementary services
QTag separates personal safety, phone recovery and QR-based identification. QTag Safe connects protected persons and their devices; Lost Phone supports device recovery; QR profiles serve objects and records. Each service has distinct location, contact and privacy workflows.
QTag Safe — protected people and guardians
Families can configure protected members, guardians and associated devices with consent and access limits. The experience encompasses a family map, SOS alerts, check-ins and notifications, subject to device and service support.
Associated devices and location sources
Phones, watches, trackers and compatible tags provide different types of signals. The service distinguishes actual GPS positions from Bluetooth proximity and indicates the source and age of location information.
Lost Phone — device recovery
A registered phone can be identified and, where supported, located, rung, shown a recovery message or placed into Lost Mode. Available actions depend on platform permissions, connection and operating-system restrictions.
QR codes for vehicles and pets
Digital profiles can share owner-controlled information for vehicles, pets and situations where a finder needs an authorised contact. A QR scan provides a route to the relevant profile without publishing all personal data.
Luggage, objects and home access
QR profiles for luggage, valuables and properties connect physical items to tailored digital records. The owner chooses what visitors can see, what stays private and how a finder may make contact.
Medical, SOS and private records
Medical and emergency information, pet health records, documents and vehicle service history can be organised in dedicated areas. Sensitive records require restricted access and should not be exposed merely by scanning a public QR code.
Digital vault, reminders and family
Users can organise reminders, secure files, family relationships, travel records and other information. Sharing policies, roles and revocation controls help limit access to the intended recipients.
Mobile, web and iPhone experience
The Android app groups supported QTag Safety features, notifications, Safe and Lost Phone. QR experiences are also available through web flows, including Safari or PWA where supported; device capabilities may differ.
Privacy and consent
Visibility of QR information is controlled by the account holder. Safeguarding capable adults requires their consent. Location access, notifications and data sharing must follow explicit permissions and applicable privacy rules.
Availability and pilot programme
Official product information indicates a pre-release or Android beta stage for selected QTag Safety services. QR-based experiences follow the web flows described by QTag; not every feature or device integration is generally available.
